Plot[edit | edit source]
Danny Walker begins his trial shift at the garage, but Carl Dawson continues to make things difficult for him. Carl is also jealous of Danny's strong charisma around his family, being able to make Carl's father, Sam Dawson, laugh, and offer great relationship advice to Jeremy Dawson. Eventually, however, Danny and Carl are able to settle their differences. Meanwhile, Omera Bhaduri tricks Isaac Walker into revealing how much he offered to pay Jeremy for the gym; Omera seeths upon learning that Isaac's offer was actually lower than hers. Omera is later able to secure a job for Hakeem Bhaduri at the gym as a personal trainer. Peter Sanders meets with Kabish Bhaduri, the local GP, to discuss his latest test results, and Kabish reveals that Peter has atherosclerosis, a narrowing of the arteries resulting in heart attacks and stroke. Peter chooses to keep this from his wife, Gemma Sanders, who is busy planning Friday's village fair. Later, Peter notices Emily Walker sitting alone and offers her some sage advice about growing up. Emily is inspired to reveal to her mother, Kerry Walker, that she failed her A-levels, and Kerry is supportive. Elsewhere, Terry Dawson helps his best friend Owen Young plan a proposal to his girlfriend, Polly Campbell. Following multiple failed attempts, including interruptions from Gemma and losing the ring, Owen eventually proposes to Polly in the pub, and Polly accepts. The ring is later revealed to have been found by kids Rex Hardman and Taylor Johnson.
